Reading and writing workshops oriented towards the creation of community story books.

Objective:Reading and writing workshops oriented towards the creation of community story books. Every six months, the students of the workshop will publish a book with stories and research about their community.

Through English workshops, we promote learning through a third language, developing abilities and skills to improve communication among children and young people in the community.

Promote good environmental practices in the communities we visit.

Objective:To promote good environmental practices in the communities we visit. UNAM experts will give practical workshops on recycling and reusing waste and climate change.

Donations of Books and Promotion of Reading

We encourage reading through stories in Spanish and Mayan.

Objective: That each girl, boy and youth have at least one book at home and encourage reading in a creative way.

Activities:Visiting communities of Quintana Roo, Yucatán and Campeche in an itinerant way with the team of artists, psychologists and volunteers to read aloud, give presentations and workshops to promote reading and at the end we will donate a book to each girl, boy and youngster.

Community Libraries

We build and remodel spaces to create libraries that facilitate access to knowledge, encourage creativity, and foster a culture of reading in communities.

Objective: Build and remodel infrastructures to carry out the third and fourth Itinerant Letters community libraries in the town of Sahcab Mucuy and Chenché de las Torres.

-Chenché de las Torres Library -

Objective: Build and remodel infrastructures to carry out the third and fourth Itinerant Letters community libraries in the town of Sahcab Mucuy and Chenché de las Torres.

Activities:
2021: Locate land, request permission from the community, make plans and plan production and book donations.
2022-2023: Locate investors and resources for the realization of the library.
2024-2025: Activate the library with Itinerant Letters workshops and other organizations.
